How to Adjust Your Interlock Device

To change your Interlock Device’s tests, only a few simple steps need to be taken. Keep in mind that each state has its own rules for adjusting your Interlock based on a medical condition. For example, Florida requires specific forms that need to be filled out by your doctor. Some only need a doctor’s note and others may involve your State Authority providing us the right paperwork.

Unfortunately, a handful of states do not allow us to adjust your Interlock Device.

Processing Requests

After you receive approval from your State Authority, the process for your request can take about two to three business days. You will receive an email letting you know that your request has been approved.

Once approved, and you have spoken with a customer care representative, you will then need to schedule an appointment. Then, just bring your vehicle on your scheduled appointment to your nearest Smart Start service center. Our licensed technicians can then readjust your Device for you.
