Tarrant County CSCD includes probation and pretrial. Smart Start currently has four service centers that provide Ignition Interlock in Tarrant County. A new location will open in Haltom City in November. We also have a two-person case resource team that will be located in Tarrant County.

Protecting Our Neighbors

Erin Garza, Judicial Services Liaison-DFW for Smart Start, says the new agreement allows us to continue providing Tarrant County with the same individualized service that all of our customers receive. It’s especially satisfying because of our Texas roots.

“Smart Start began in Texas, and Tarrant County is in our backyard,” she said. “We have provided services there for more than 20 years. We have always had a good relationship with CSCD, as well as judges and State Authorities in the county.”

For the past four years, we have been Tarrant County’s preferred provider of portable alcohol monitoring through our SMART Mobile™ device. And we have often had occupational and voluntary referrals for Ignition Interlock Devices.
