Calibration Appointments and Grace Periods for Your Ignition Interlock

First, you should know that the way calibrations are scheduled is up to your state, not your Ignition Interlock provider. If you need to calibrate your Ignition Interlock every month, or however long your oversight authority gives you, you need to comply with this IID requirement and all others until the end of your program. So, what happens if I miss my Interlock appointment?

Missed service appointments could unfortunately result in an Ignition Interlock lockout. However, in some states, if you contact your Interlock provider beforehand there are short “grace periods” you can use to prevent an Interlock violation or penalty from occurring for missing a calibration appointment or service visit.
