An Ignition Interlock may be required per a state jurisdiction or court order resulting from a DUI arrest. Courts can still order an Ignition Interlock as a condition of bond or probation.

Individuals who are not U.S. citizens can even sign up for an Ignition Interlock on a voluntary basis. Some immigrant attorneys will recommend this option to their clients.
