What Does "Abort Tamper" Mean?

The “Abort Tamper” error appears if:

Your hand is blocking the vents on the back of the device.
Your mouthpiece is not firmly and correctly in place.
Your mouthpiece needs to be replaced.
You are blowing moisture into the device.
All of the above.

To avoid getting the “Abort Tamper” message, hold your SMART Mobile™ steadily in a well-lit place. Take a deep breath, make sure your mouth is closed tightly around the mouthpiece, and blow a steady, even flow of air. A steady flow of air is much more important than a huge volume of air! Sometimes, keeping your air stream steady can keep you from getting a repeated “Abort Tamper” message.

You can also avoid the “Abort Tamper” message by making sure your mouthpiece is replaced frequently. Rinse your mouth out with water before testing, but make sure to swallow all the moisture before you take your test!
